As part of the international conference organized by the Toronto, McMaster, Regina, and Victoria Universities, we hosted a engaging roundtable discussion. Incorporated into the program of the conference, the occasion provided a platform for insightful discussions and knowledge sharing among participants from various festivals and academic institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Under the title of \u201cDecolonizing Film Festival Research in a Post-Pandemic World\u201d, the event occurred on 28 April 2023, featuring the following speakers &#8211; our research collaborators:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prof Sheila Petty (University of Regina\/Canada)<\/li>\n<li>Dr Estrella Sendra (King\u2019s College London\/UK)<\/li>\n<li>Dr Ana Camila Esteves (King\u2019s College London\/UK)<\/li>\n<li>Prof Gabriela Almeida (Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing\/Brazil)<\/li>\n<li>Dr Ben Akoh (African Movie Festival in Manitoba\/Canada)<\/li>\n<li>Dr Robin Steedman (Copenhagen Business School\/Denmark)<\/li>\n<li>Laura Feal (Hahatay\/Senegal)<\/li>\n<li>Dr Rachel Johnson (University of Leeds\/UK)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"flex flex-grow flex-col max-w-full gap-3 gizmo:gap-0\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] text-message flex flex-col items-start gap-3 whitespace-pre-wrap break-words [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5 overflow-x-auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"9e5ed8b0-6731-4528-9cc7-f8bfb5b529ef\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the event, we had the chance to present the ongoing progress of the trial methodology to a qualified audience.
