After Laney Yarycky joined the Health Psychology Lab as an Honours student with an extremely strong academic record, she was accepted as a graduate student in psychology. She has published first-authored peer reviewed papers focusing on pain in older adults and  presented her work at national conferences.  Following the completion of her Master’s degree she was admitted to the doctoral program in experimental and applied psychology supported by a variety of internal and external scholarships.
