Concerns have been raised about using face masks during exercise because of the assumption they might impede breathing and increase re=breathing of carbon dioxide. Dr. Phil Chilibeck will present the results of his own research and other studies on face mask use during exercise to provide information on intensity and duration of exercise that is tolerable while wearing face masks and how healthy versus less healthy people might respond to wearing face masks during exercise.
