The University of Regina Centre on Aging and Health hosted its 12th annual Distinguished Lecture on January 21, 2015. Dr. Neena Chappell, Canada Research Chair in Social Gerontology, University of Victoria discussed how social integration relates to empowerment, civil engagement, social justice, and social determinants of health.

CAH Director Dr. Thomas Hadjistavropoulos was awarded a three-year operating grants from The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). This grant, worth more than $300,000, will be used to develop an automated pain detection and monitoring system. The system will help better understand pain in older adults with dementia.
